On September 18, 2018, the Deputy Director of the General Administration of Customs of China, Mr. Zhang Jiwen, visited CCIC France for inspection and work guidance on waste materials inspections. This visit was scheduled amidst meetings with the French Ministry of Agriculture and the Marseille Port Authority.
- The general managers of CCIC Europe and CCIC France reported to Director Zhang on the general situation of CCIC’s European regional companies and in more specifics on the waste inspection, quality control and operations of CCIC France.
Deputy Director Zhang Jiwen approved the recent work performed in the European region and the measures taken by CCIC France to increase the waste inspection control measures and the steps taken to implement China’s ban on the entry of “foreign garbage”. He also requested the CCIC overseas companies to continue to strengthen the control of waste materials, as pre-shipment inspections serves the country's efforts towards an ecological civilization. Mr. Zhang Jiwen hopes that the company will further increase investments, strengthen its technical capacity, enhance inspection and supervision capabilities, and prepare for business expansion.The Deputy Director set out ambitious expectations for the CCIC overseas companies, which will support CCIC as a large and solid international company with efficient management.
After the meeting, the delegation visited a scrap yard to inspect the procedures of an inspection of waste paper carried out by CCIC France. The goods, with China as export destination, were inspected on the quality status, classification and related facilities and equipment.
Associates from the Department of Animal and Plants, the Food Bureau and the International Department of the General Administration of Customs accompanied the inspection. The complete team of CCIC France also participated in this event.
