Shandong CIQ and CCIC Europe signed a memorandum of cooperation to promote food safety assurance

Shandong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (CIQ) and CCIC Europe B.V. signed a memorandum of cooperation in Qingdao, China to assure the safety of food products while facilitating the import process.

- Mr. Gao Yuchao, the Director General of Shandong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (CIQ) and Ms. Yang Ping, Managing Director of CCIC Europe B.V. signed a memorandum of cooperation in Qingdao, China. The goal of the cooperation is to assure the safety of food products while facilitating the import process.

 

 

CCIC Europe will cooperate with Shandong CIQ to establish a mechanism for co-governance of food safety and optimize regulatory services, in order to ensure the safety of imported food products in Shandong Province and to promote its economy. 

For food products that are inspected by CCIC Europe before arrival in Shandong port, Shandong CIQ will speed up the customs clearance and reduce the sampling rate. There will be maximum clearance support given based on inspection certificates issued by CCIC Europe B.V.

The signing of this memorandum will make it easier for European food trading companies to export to Shandong.
