The transitional period of MARA (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs) announcement No.210 [2019] is going to end soon. All pet food produced after 1^st March 2020 needs to comply with the Pet Food Labelling Regulation.

Excerpt of MARA announcement No.210 [2019]:

The transition period for pet feed labels is extended with 6 months. The labels attached to domestic and imported pet feed products that are produced after 1^st March 2020 shall comply with the Pet Feed Labeling Regulations.

For pet food manufacturers that continue to use the old labels from before 1^st March 2020, shall stick or attach additional labels over the old labels.

The feed management authority departments will carry out supervision on pet feed labels starting from 1^st March 2020 in accordance with the requirements of the Pet Feed Labeling Regulations to promote the healthy development of the industry.
