SAMR issued a notice on infant formula labeling

On June 26, SAMR (the State Administration for Market Regulation) issued a notice in order to solicit public opinions on the Administrative Measures for Product Formula Registration of Infant Formula Milk Powder. It stipulates that the label and instructions for infant formula should avoid the phrases “imported milk source”, “foreign pasture”, “ecological ranch”, “imported raw materials” and “original ecological milk source”, etc., Since these phrases contain obscure information and could mislead potential customers.
