- On 26th March 2019, the State Council executive meeting passed the "Regulations on the Implementation of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China (Draft)." The draft refines the responsibilities of food producers and business operators, government supervision duties and punishment measures. The regulations emphasize the increase of penalties, for illegal activities, for the legal representatives of the companies. Also, they elaborate food safety standards and risk monitoring measures.
